Would you like to join us in revolutionizing the fitness and health industry and contribute to a healthier society? We are looking for a Technical Content Manager / Technical Writer – Hardware (m/f/d) with a strong background in developing instructional content for hardware products. In this role, you will drive the creation, maintenance, and localization of documentation for EGYM's entire hardware product ecosystem, creating content to explain our products and features to a diverse audience of gym operators, trainers and end users, as well as our service technicians and assembly workers.   • You are an integral part of EGYM's new central technical content management team, as an individual contributor, or optionally depending on your profile, as a working team lead
  • You create and maintain content for our hardware ecosystem – Smart Strength, Smart Flex, and Smart Assessment (Fitness Hub) – and publish it in print and online
  • You take ownership of EGYM’s hardware product documentation and align with stakeholders to ensure legal compliance
  • You establish and drive a streamlined assembly and service documentation management strategy
  • You maintain writing and design guidelines for instructional content
  • You are responsible for day-to-day translation project management, including communication with vendors and reviewers, final QA, as well as release, publication, and deployment
Your fitness level
  • You have a degree in Instructional Design, Information Development, Technical Writing, or a related field
  • You bring 3+ years of experience in writing, managing, and publishing hardware product documentation such as owner’s manuals, assembly instructions, technical installation instructions, and service manuals
  • You have hands-on experience developing visual layouts and templates for different types of documents using desktop publishing tools such as InDesign, FrameMaker, or similar
  • You are experienced with using / managing one or more component content management systems/ structured authoring tools (e.g., DITA)  to support us on our journey towards optimizing how we develop, manage, and publish our product documentation
  • You are experienced using / managing translation memory or translation management systems to effectively manage translation and localization of our instructional materials and product interfaces
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is a plus
Your training goal for your first 6 months
  • You have acquired a deep understanding of EGYM's product ecosystem and documentation processes
  • You are fully integrated into our agile, cross-functional team structure and have built strong relationships with the Technical Content Management Team and key stakeholders from the Product Team, Hardware Engineering, Product Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • You are onboarded and ready to independently take care of EGYM’s hardware documentation
