Are you a creative visionary with a passion for design and leadership? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where innovation and collaboration are key? We’re looking for a Teamlead Design (m/f/d) in Berlin to inspire and guide our talented team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our creative efforts, shaping the visual identity of our brand and driving design excellence across all projects. You won’t just be overseeing design work—you’ll be a mentor, a strategist, and a champion for creativity. You’ll work closely with the Head of Brand and other departments to ensure that every design project aligns with our company’s goals and reflects our brand’s unique personality.

Leadership: You provide strong leadership to the team of three designers, setting clear goals and expectations while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and creativity
Design Work: You ensure the delivery of top-notch design projects that meet or exceed quality standards and maintain brand consistency across all design initiatives
Coordination: You work closely with the Head of Brand, marketing, and product teams to align design projects with overall company objectives
Guidance: You provide guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to team members as well as supporting the professional growth and development of the design team
Project Management: You oversee project timelines to ensure on-time delivery of design work whilst identifying and resolving design-related issues that may arise
Collaboration: You lead regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities along with conducting performance reviews and setting objectives for team members
Resource Management: You oversee the allocation of design resources and manage project budgets effectively to ensure the efficient use of resources for maximized productivity and creativity
Recruiting & Onboarding: You assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new design team members and promote a positive, inclusive team culture that values diversity and collaboration

Your fitness level

Qualification: You held a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
Management: You have a proven track record of leading and managing design teams with at least 3 years experience
Professional Expertise: You have a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality design work
Communication: You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Resilience: You have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on tight deadlines
Tools: You are proficient in design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Miro and Jira
Mentorship: You are experienced in mentoring and developing design talent
Approach: Your work is characterized by strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Your training goal for your first 6 months

Understanding: You gain a comprehensive understanding of our customers, target markets, and their needs to ensure that our design efforts resonate with them
Specializing: You identify key strengths within the team and help each member specialize in areas that align with their skills and our strategic goals
Lead the Next Design Evolution: You take the lead in conceptualizing and driving the next evolution of our design strategy, pushing boundaries to elevate our brand
Ownership: You take charge of updating and refining our brand and design guidelines, ensuring consistency and innovation across all touchpoints
