You will lead power electronics projects, optimize existing and build new drive system designs from scratch, and witness your ideas transforming EGYM’s solutions.   • Power Electronics Design: You are responsible for circuit design and PCB layout for power electronic applications, such as DC motor controls, AC to DC power supplies, and PMSM inverters
  • System Validation: You debug and validate power electronics to ensure functionality and performance
  • Regulatory Compliance: You ensure your designs and modules comply with relevant regulatory standards like EMC and safety
  • Collaboration: You closely collaborate with our Software and Mechanical Engineering teams to create the best holistic drive system solutions with a customer-focused approach
Your fitness level
  • Electrical Engineering Studies: You have a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or an equivalent educational background
  • Professional Experience: You have at least 4 years of professional experience as an engineer, specifically in power electronics or drive systems
  • Core Competencies: You are skilled in circuit design and PCB layout for power electronic applications and have a strong understanding of drive systems in general
  • Validation Skills: You have experience in debugging and validating complex drive system setups as well as conceptualizing test systems for these components
  • Design Mindset: You are capable of balancing technical robustness with cost-efficiency in your designs
  • Further skills: You can prove knowledge of two or more of the following technologies:
    • DC motor control and inverter design for PMSM
    • AC/DC power supply design
    • EMC-related regulatory compliance for power electronics
    • Embedded software development closely related to motor control
    • Model-based design approach and experience with simulation tools
Your training goal for your first 6 months
  • Project Ownership: You take ownership of a power electronics component (e.g., a specific drive system or power supply), manage its requirements, and execute a first full development cycle
  • System Bring-up: You bring your own power electronics design to life by finalizing a board bring-up and executing a validation testing phase for the drive system
  • Knowledge Sharing: You share your expert knowledge of power electronics and regulatory compliance with the team and establish new best practices
  • Product Understanding: You understand EGYM’s product portfolio and technical solutions in hardware
