In your role as Country Director France and Belgium (m/f/d), you take charge of our most vital market. In this newly created key role, you act as the entrepreneurial architect between local excellence and global strategy. You will drive sustainable growth, influence global functions, and ensure EGYM Wellpass dominates the French and Belgian region with commercial sharpness and local insight. Your responsabilities

  • P&L Ownership: You own and deliver the country P&L and drive the local growth plan to ensure long-term success

  • Strategic Execution: You translate our global strategy into a clear, focused, and actionable execution plan for your market

  • Functional Alignment: You align local leads from Marketing, Sales, Ops, and Supply around shared priorities and goals

  • Decision Making: You act as the key escalation and decision point for local execution and strategic trade-offs

  • Relationship Management: You build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite stakeholders and key decision-makers across our partner network

  • Performance Optimization: You track country performance and proactively resolve constraints to unlock further growth

  • Market Intelligence: You feed high-quality local market insights back to global teams to help shape the overarching strategy

  • Knowledge Sharing: You champion local success stories and share key learnings to inspire the wider organisation

Your fitness level
  • Commercial Leadership: You bring at least 10 years of experience, including proven success as a Country Lead, GM, or Head of Growth

  • Sector Expertise: You have a background in digital marketplaces, B2B2C platforms, or strategic consultancy at a top-tier firm

  • Business Scaling: You demonstrate a strong track record in scaling revenue while consistently improving contribution margins

  • Analytical Excellence: You possess sharp commercial judgement and the ability to make data-driven decisions in complex environments

  • Stakeholder Management: You are a senior influencer who can align global vertical leaders and manage competing priorities with ease

  • Outcome-Focused Communication: You are a structured and clear communicator with high emotional intelligence and professional credibility

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: You combine a disciplined, consultative approach with a hands-on "bias towards action" to achieve measurable results

  • Market Obsession: You are customer-centric and confident in challenging global assumptions to drive local market success

  • Language: You are fluent in both English and French, enabling you to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and operate seamlessly in an international environment.

Your training goal for your first 6 months
  • Market Intelligence: You built a deep understanding of local employer behavior, partner economics, and the competitive landscape

  • Opportunity Mapping: You identified the top five growth and performance opportunities to drive immediate local impact

  • Stakeholder Alignment: You established trusted relationships with global functional leads and aligned them around shared local priorities

  • Strategic Execution: You created and implemented a clear country execution plan that translated global strategy into local success

  • Performance Management: You established a consistent monthly rhythm to track growth, unit economics, and supply density

  • Strategic Reporting: You delivered high-quality market insights and performance reviews to HQ, ensuring a unified commercial focus

Your warm up plan
  • Discovery & Culture Interview: An initial conversation with the People team to explore your background, motivation, and overall alignment with Wellpass and the role.

  • Strategic Competency Deep Dive (1.5h): A structured interview with the VP International & Strategic Initiatives, combining a business case discussion (shared in advance) and an in-depth assessment of key competencies required for the position.

  • Leadership Alignment Meetings: Final stage consisting of three short meetings (3 × 30 minutes), held in person in Paris, with members of the Wellpass leadership team to ensure strong alignment across key stakeholders and regional collaboration.
